and heard the strange footsteps approaching

A weird objectm, coverd with blue cloak, was entering my room without opening my door.
"Who are you?"
"Pleased to meet you. I am melancholy. I've been expecting you so long! You've always wanted to see me, haven't you?"
"You're lying. I don't even know you. "
"OH, my sweet heart. Of course you know me, we've been good friends for so many years. I am always by your side, you didn't forget it, did you? And it's so kind of you to feed me so I can be so strong now"
